Szemeimmel nézem, látom az engem körülvevő világot. Vizsgálom, igyekszem megérteni azt, amit látok, felfogni a valóságot. Vizsgálódásom során fényképeket készítek: fényről, színekről, ezek hiányáról. Felmerül az örök fotográfiai probléma: Mi az, amit látok? Amit fényképezek? A valóságot? Annak egy reprezentációját? Egy szubjektív értelmezését? Érzékelem az ingert, de a látás - pszichológiai folyamat révén - a tudattól elválaszthatatlanul jelentéssel ruházza fel azt. A gép, a digitális rendszer is érzékeli a fényt, de előre megszabott matematikai rendszer szerint „értelmezi”, reprezentálja azt.

I see with my eyes, I observe the world around me. I examine it, I try to understand what I see, to grasp reality. In the course of my exploration, I take photographs: of light, of colors, of their absence.The eternal photographic dilemma arises: What is it that I see? What am I photographing? Reality? A representation of it? A subjective interpretation?I perceive the stimulus, but vision — through a psychological process — inseparably endows it with meaning through consciousness. The machine, the digital system, also perceives light, but it “interprets” and represents it according to a predetermined mathematical system.
